ATC Audio Clips

If you haven't discovered LiveATC.net, you're missing out! It's a great resource to help you develop an ear for listening to air traffic controllers. If you are working on an instrument rating, you can practice copying clearances by listening to LiveATC.net feeds. But here's the problem: many clearance delivery feeds have long periods of silence, which means you spend a lot of time listening to nothing. That's not a good use of your time!

I finally decided to do something about this problem. I invested some time in finding and downloading several feeds with decent audio quality, and then edited out the silence and dialogue that I didn't think was useful to me. The result? Concentrated ATC goodness, which you can use to practice copying clearances.

I plan to add a few more files in the future, but for now there are two recordings. One is mainly clearance delivery, so you can practice the CRAFT of copying your initial clearance. The second contains snippets of approach clearances, which I found particularly difficult in the beginning. Enjoy!
